Charm

Charm doesnt have heart worms. Now we just have to treat Cash. Poor Baby!

SAD :(

Well what a terrible day. We wake up this morning and Cash, our chocolate lab, has his tail between his legs. He is running around excited and eating fine but he wasn't wagging his tail. When we told him to sit he would sit real slowly. I have been worried about him all day at school. Then we were talking about the movie " Marley and Me" at school today so of course I have all these sad thoughts in my head. I was hoping that I would get home and his tail would be wagging. But it wasn't...

So I decided to take him to the vet and get it checked out. He needed his yearly shots anyways. The vet said that his tail is broken. He couldn't find an exact broken spot but he felt two possibilities. We have no idea how he broke it. Cole and Cash went hunting yesterday he might of done something to it then. The doctor said he could have wagged it too hard and hit something.

In this check up we decided to run the heart worm test and sadly it came back positive. I am so upset but the doctor said that with the shots it can be fixed. I called Katie to ask Archie ( Cash's hero) and he said that it will get rid of the heart worms. So now I feel a lot better.

Tomorrow I will be taking Charm, our mutt, to get her shots and pray that she does not have heart worms too.

18 weeks

Jan. 22 is the big day. We find out if it is a boy or girl. I can't wait and I do not care what it is. I want both eventually so it doesn't matter what comes first.

My clothes are too tight and I feel fat. I want to be showing so bad and I think that I am. Everyone at school says that I am not showing, until today. Today I got lots of comments about finally showing. I think that it was my outfit but I do know that my stomach is bigger than it has ever been. This is a picture of me at 18 weeks.

My students are starting to make up names for the baby. No one has come up with anything that I like. I wish that they would because we are having trouble too. Hopefully it is easier once we know what it is.

Change of plans

Well over Christmas we decided that the best idea is to NOT buy a house. We terminated our contract and are excited to not be stuck here. Hopefully we will be closer to family in a year or two.

Yea for Christmas Break

Well I had my 3rd doctor appointment on Thur. I finally got to hear the baby's heartbeat. She found it so easy. At my last appointment we couldn't find it and I had to have a sonogram. The appointment went by real fast because the Dr. got called for an emergency. She did feel my stomach and say "Woo, you have grown, I cant believe you are still wearing your same pants." I gained another 3lbs. and I only have 2 pair of jeans that still fit me.

I told my students at school today and they were so excited. The girls kept asking questions. I had one boy say, "how did it get IN your stomach." I just ignored the question and fortunately he didn't ask again. I showed them the calendar and we kept turning the pages until it was due and they thought that sounded way too long to wait.

We had our class Christmas party today. It was great- and crowded. It was a long day and we even got out early. WOW I AM READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

We bought a house!!

Well we have been looking at houses for several months. We were getting very frustrated with the whole process. Sunday night we went and looked at a house, liked it, made an offer on Monday, and had a house on Tuesday. Our closing date is Jan. 9. We are going to have a very busy holiday getting ready for the move.

My clothes are getting tight

Well I haven't told my kids at school that I am pregnant yet. The other day one of my students gave me a hug and said "Mrs. Kuykendall it is like you are pregnant." Then he walked away. I was shocked. I can tell my stomach is bigger but only when I don't have a shirt on. I guess I better start thinking about telling them.

I can also tell because none of my pants fit they are all too tight. I hate getting up in the mornings because I cant find anything to wear that is comfortable. I went shopping and maternity clothes are too big. I am extremely happy because we found out that we get to wear jeans until Christmas break. All we have to do is make a $1 donation everyday. I can do that because my jeans still fit.
